The show started with Ted Kennedy and quickly morphed into the upcoming Senate race to replace him. Dick hopes for a Kerry Healey v Martha Coakley race, which would be entertaining as heck if it happened.
Our discussion about MA politics slid into the new proposed MA Pandemic bill which would give government the right to search any home without a warrant, and seize and destroy whatever it saw fit in your home, without ramification.
That led us to Rockefeller’s legislation to give the WH power to seize the internet.
All that talk of Government control scared the daylights out of me so we went on to discuss the OMB rule that requires all construction over $25m on federal buildings be done by union members. Not only will this rule raise the cost of construction by 10-20%, it will preclude about 85% of construction workers from getting work on these projects.
On a happier note, we talked about how things feel different. Revolution is in the air. Everyone but our elected officials can feel it. People who have never participated before are participating. It is really spectacular.
We ended on the Cheney – Obama slap down about EIT’s and our security, but not before Dick became Orin Hatch for a few minutes.
